Homemakers Photos

At Homemakers part of my job was taking pictures everywhere. With a store that is ever changing it was always important to take photos of new products! We had a great team of visual designers who would decorate the store for different seasons. I would take pictures of the store for various reasons: magazine ads, digital ads, etc.

The day-to-day tasks were taking photos of new products that came to the store. They would get sent to the studio and I would shoot them and edit them.

We also had special events at Homemakers that I also took pictures at, such as a Charcuterie Event.

A big part of my job at Homemakers was working on vendor photos. Homemakers had a certain way they wanted to show their products on their website. So they always wanted white backgrounds. That often meant using a pen tool in photoshop and creating a new background.

Another challenge was making sure we had the right colors for products. Some furniture pieces were custom orders that we made to sell to customers. So, I would have to get creative and make the photos provided the right color.
