Mountains and Chocolate
We left Germany and headed to Neuschwanstein Castle. This was some thing I was looking forward to on the trip. I’ve always loved this castle. We didn’t go inside, which I was hoping to, but this was more of a quick stop look. It was also the first snow of the trip!
We then kept driving and had lunch in Lichtenstein. Then we made it to Lucerne! We got Swiss army knives! I got one for myself and my dad. Then we explored a Christmas market and found some fondue!
Then we hoped back in the bus and traveled to the ski town of Engelberg.
Engelberg was so pretty. It was a sleepy ski town.
We started the day by going to the top of Titlis mountain. We took a gondola to the top! We first explored an ice cave. Then went to check out the 5 floor lodge. 1 floor – ice cave, 2 floor – souvenir shop, 3 floor – chocolate shop, 4 floor – restaurant, 5 – outside.
The top had a few features to enjoy. A rotating cable car, suspension bridge, and an outdoor chairlift.
We then went back down the mountain and explored the town. We stopped at a cheese store and had some cheese.
Then ended the night and the trip at the farewell dinner in the ski lodge restaurant.
