Christmas Markets in Europe 2024

I had the privilege of going to Italy, Austria, Germany, and Switzerland to see their Christmas Markets. It was an amazing trip where I learned so much history and got to experience some incredible markets. I booked this trip through EF Ultimate Break. I went by myself on this trip and made so many friends through EF!

We started in Venice, Italy. We ate pizza and pasta. Got to go on a boat under the famous Rialto bridge. We then road-tripped to Verona where we saw Juliets balcony and enjoyed a classic Italian city.

Then we got into Austria! We first went to Innsbruck and saw our first Christmas Market of the trip. We went to the top of a bell tower and saw the famous colorful houses and the market below. Then we kept driving and got to Salzburg. We learned more about the filming of ‘The Sound of Music,’ and Mozart. We then experienced my favorite Christmas market where we experienced Krampus!

After Austria, we went to Munich, Germany. For me Munich was about the food I tried! Spaetzle, logs, and so much Gluhwein! We also experienced Krampus again. Mostly we explored the markets.

Then we did a few quick visits. Our first was to Neuschwanstein Castle. The castle that inspired Disney. Then we stopped in Lichtenshtein for lunch.

We then got to Lucernce, Swizterland. Where we enjoyed our last Christmas market and some fondue! Then we travelled to our last stop of the trip Engelberg.

At the top of Titlis Mountain we experienced the Swiss Alps in all its glory. After that we explored the sleepy ski town of Engelberg.

This was truly the trip of a lifetime! It was so amazing to experience and I made so many friends! I can not endorse EF Ultimate Break enough!
