Who is Karla Anne Designs?

Well, let me introduce myself! My name is Karla DeBruin, I grew up in a small town in Iowa. I am finishing my last year at the University of Northern Iowan! I will be graduating May 2022, and will be looking for a graphic design in Des Moines or Kansas City!

While going to UNI, I have been fortunate enough to work for the Northern Iowan, the newspaper on campus, while studying for graphic design. My job has been my favorite thing about college, it has helped me become a graphic designer. I am the managing editor which includes a lot of things, but mostly behind the scenes at the newspaper. We print twice a week – Monday and Thursday – so I have to make sure our pages are ready for articles to be put in. So having the correct date and issue number is important. I’m also in charge of our website, so uploading every article and making sure it looks great. Check it out for yourself here!

Outside of school I love to ride my bike, watch my favorite shows (Friends, New Girl, and many more), hang out with friends, be outside and enjoy nature.
